It's something about skies that I just can't resist. I love the colors in this one, but those buildings look kind of ugly.

I loved the black contrast to the vibrant colors of the sky. To me, it really brought out the colors. I appreciate your view, though, and I agree that buildings can sometimes ruin a rather beautiful setting. I've taken some pictures like, that, lol. Well, no, I do agree with you on the fact that they do contrast very very nicely. But as you can see by my work, I am a big nature/landscape photographer, so I don't really appreciate buildings... well I do, but... ah... just forget it. :D

I think it just totally depends on the picture you're trying to take. Sometimes I like buildings and sometimes I don't. Most of my skyline pictures will have buildings or ground-stuff in them because I enjoy the connection between the earth and the heavens. There's just this point where the sky seems to connect with the earth and it's just.........BAM, you know?
